Password Rules

Please note the password requirements for Valley Connect have recently changed.  You are now required to use the 16+ character passphrase requirements below.

• Must be between 16-30 characters long
• Must contain at least one uppercase and one lowercase letter
• Must contain at least one number
• CAN optionally contain one or more symbols {}[]!~@#$%^*-+?:;
• Must NOT contain spaces
• CANNOT change more than one time per 24-hour period
• CAN contain dictionary words of any length, but NO spaces
• Cannot be any of the past 12 passwords
• Repeating numbers/letters are allowed, but NO MORE THAN THREE of the same character consecutively

If your password reset is not successful, contact the IT Help Desk at 423-751-4357 and request a password reset as an external user of Valley Connect.
